"CUSP has a very friendly and peaceful environment, but at the same time, it's very professional and inspiring. One thing that is really surprising is how dedicated the professors and team here are. They know that this program is compressed, but CUSP has so many office hours and teaching assistants that help. CUSP has given me everything that I need for a future career."
Pooneh’s motivation for her Master’s degree at CUSP is rooted in her goal to positively impact the data managing processes of cities, especially developing ones.
“I am interested in interdisciplinary and cutting edge approaches that link data science and mathematics with complex urban management and policy, a unique option that CUSP’s urban informatics program offers,” she says.
Prior to joining CUSP, Pooneh worked as a research assistant at the Physical Development Research Center, one of Iran’s leading consulting firms in the field of architecture and urban planning. She also received a MA degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Modares University (Tehran) and is currently earning her PhD in Urban Planning from the Science and Research branch of Azad University (Tehran).
