Yu Wang is a PhD student in the Music Informatics group under the direction of Dr. Juan P. Bello. She holds two M.S. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2015) and National Taiwan University (NTU) (2012), and a B.S. in Physics from NTU (2010). She decided to change her direction from renewable energy to more music related field in 2016. Before joining MARL, she was in the audio engineering program in Institute of Audio Research developing music production skill and experience. Her research interest focuses on machine learning in music informatics. She is a guitar player and also enjoys mixing, sound design, and post-production.
