Biography
My extensive academic background includes Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering and a Ph.D. degree in Technical Sciences (majoring in Engineering). Now, as a Fulbright program grantee, I am studying at the New York University’s Center for Urban Science and Progress to acquire a Master’s degree in Applied Urban Sciences and Informatics.
My professional background includes founding a startup company and raising $100,000 seed investment, working as a Product Manager in PicsArt – a leading photo editing app with more than four hundred million users, and working as an assistant professor at the Architectural university of Yerevan teaching courses to both Bachelor and Master level students on energy efficiency, architecture, construction and urban planning, as well as supervising their diploma projects.
I am deeply interested in Big data, open data, Smart cities, as well as AI, deep learning, machine learning and neural networks.

- leading and managing PicsArt Editor team of junior, base and senior level programmers, technical leads, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, making product decisions based on the company’s vision and mission
- owning and managing PicsArt’s Editor effects, masks, history
- owning and managing PicsArt’s “Magic effects” based on a neural network and machine learning
- researching the market and implementing best-practice ideas on increasing product penetration, tracking the analytical data
- mentoring team members and ensuring their personal and professional growth
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA
- lecturing groups of foreign (India, Iran, France) architect, civil engineer and structural engineer bachelor and master degree students on English
