
Associate Research Scientist
Music and Audio Research Laboratory (MARL)
Mahin Salman is an Associate Research Scientist at NYU’s Center for Urban Sciences and Progress (CUSP) and Music and Audio Research Lab. She works on the development and implementation of advanced sensor nodes for large-scale, high-resolution acoustic data capture.
Additionally, she is an interactive installation artist whose most recent work was featured at the Rubin Museum in the exhibition “The World is Sound”. Mahinʼs expertise lies in physical computing, R&D, and technical production. As an artist she explores third culture identity, gender inequality, mental health, memory and cognition.
