Research Assistant Professor

Graham Dove is a Research Assistant Professor with an interest in participatory design methods for working with challenging materials such as personal data and machine learning. He is currently working on SONYC (Sounds of New York City) an NSF funded interdisciplinary research project at NYU in Brooklyn. SONYC is researching a cyber-physical systems approach to monitoring, analyzing, and mitigating noise, using low-cost sensors and machine listening. Before coming to NYU, Graham worked in Aarhus, Denmark. He gained his PhD in Human-Computer Interaction at City University London, and has over 10 years’ experience practicing UX design.
