Last week NYU Tandon hosted a series of events in the frame of NYC Open Data Week 2023. One of the highlights became an informative seminar related to housing, the goal of which was to inform participants about the Department of Housing and Development’s (HPD) open datasets with a dedicated deep dive into the Affordable Housing Production datasets.

CUSP’ 2022 Alumni Yuki Mitsuda presented at Open Data Week on March 16th. It is an honor that Yuki is now a Senior Data Analyst at the NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development. During the seminar staff from HPD’s Division of Strategic Operations & Analytics (SOA) showed students how to successfully leverage HPD’s datasets and engage with the HPD Open Data Team.

Department of Housing Preservation & Development is working thoroughly to promote quality and affordability in the city’s housing, and diversity and strength in the city’s neighborhoods. By maintaining the safety and health of residential housing, creating opportunities for New Yorkers through housing affordability they are engaging New Yorkers to build and sustain neighborhood strength and diversity.
