May 16, 2022 — Today, NYU’s Center for Urban Science and Progress (CUSP) celebrates the graduation of the Class of 2022. The ceremony is being held at Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, NY. A live stream of the ceremony is available here.

CUSP, created 10 years ago as part of the City of New York’s Applied Sciences NYC initiative, has consistently expanded and refined its innovative Masters of Science in Applied Urban Science and Informatics degree. Graduates of the program will transition to a variety of career paths and opportunities where they will use their talents, experiences and knowledge to address real-world challenges in urban environments.

At a time when the world needs to continuously rethink many of its “normal” ways of living, CUSP students choose to answer the call. By taking a wide range of interdisciplinary classes, participating in global Data Dives, and applying newly developed skills to capstone challenges, CUSP students leave Brooklyn well-prepared to approach complex urban issues head on with a spirit of innovation, collaboration, and community in mind. We can’t wait to see the positive impact that our students have on communities in New York City and around the world. Congratulations to all of the graduates!

Special congratulations also goes to the winners of the 2022 Commencement and Achievement Awards. This year’s recipients include:
