Join NYU’s Center for Urban Science and Progress at Civic Hall for the Class of 2016’s Urban Science Intensive Capstone Projects.

NYU CUSP’s Urban Science Intensive (USI) program partners student teams with government agencies or research partners to address real-world urban challenges. The USI Capstone is the four-month culmination of project work and the final presentation of students’ capstone projects that have the potential of being adopted and implemented in NYC.

USI ?project approach critical? urban issue?s?, in which teams identify problems, collect and analyze data, visualize data, and finally, formulate and test possible approaches. Student teams are challenged to utilize urban informatics within the real-world constraints of city operations and planning, while considering political, social, and financial issues and balancing privacy and confidentiality with transparency. The goal of each project is to create replicable and actionable results that inform urban operations and/or continued research.

This event is open to the CUSP community and its partners. Please note that the event may be standing room only.
