Meet Our Inaugural ClassHaozhe Wang
Haozhe graduated from Tulane University in 2013 with a B.S. in Earth and Environmental Science and a minor in Math. His goal is to make the world a more livable place with a smaller per capita carbon footprint. As an undergraduate, he interned at the gulf coast solar tech lobbying association, GSREIA. As his Capstone project at Tulane, he carried out water and soil lead level research that assured the safety of over 8,000 students.
Haozhe enrolled at CUSP to further his education and to advance his technical skills. During his time at CUSP, he participated in several data-driven projects, including research with Prof. Massoud Ghandehari at CUSP’s Urban Observatory, finding associations between midtown Manhattan’s traffic and air quality. During the Summer 2014 semester, he worked on energy data from New York State agencies.
After graduating from CUSP, Haozhe hopes to work with an international organization, such as the UN or the World Bank. He is also interested in working on the corporate side with a company dedicated to improving energy efficiency through consulting services.
