Biography

Sarah Schoengold is a product development professional and design strategist passionate about technology and social impact. She started at TED Talks working on digital storytelling platforms, including projects in the ed-tech, citizen science, and urban planning fields. On the TED Technology team, she works closely with UX designers and data scientists on features that connect people to personalized content.

Sarah is currently studying Urban Informatics at NYU, where she’s particularly interested in how the Internet of Things can make cities more efficient and equitable.

Most Recent Professional Experience

PRODUCT MANAGER, TED CONFERENCES
  • Define technical requirements and priorities with stakeholders, designers, and remote developers to see through tactical elements of product delivery
  • Work with data scientists and UX leads to incorporate new personalization features on TED.com
  • Design surveys, conduct user interviews, and utilize other human-centered design techniques for new features on TED.com
  • Collaborate with A/B testing team to create data-driven design solutions for video talk page redesign
  • Manage content production workflow on TED.com, including designing the curriculum and leading training sessions for TED’s custom CMS and other internal tools
