Advanced Certificate in
Applied Urban Science and

The one-year, three-semester, 12-credit Advanced Certificate combines foundational coursework in urban informatics with an applied project.

Intensive, one-week introduction to CUSP, fellow students, city agencies and partners

in residence at CUSP

Semester 1 (Fall) —
Foundation

  • Foundations of Urban Science or Principles of Urban Informatics

Optional “Winter Week” Program with CUSP Partner

Semester 2 (Spring) — Specialization

  • Urban Science Intensive I
    (3 credits)

Semester 3 (Summer) — Application

  • CUSP Seminar on the Science of Cities (or elective) (3 credits)
  • Urban Science Intensive II
    (3 credits)
